A remote abode of work and blissYou can visit Bolshoye Boldino any time of year, not necessarily in autumn when Pushkin was here, when maples flash with bright fires and birches turn yellow, when leaves pave the path as then, in 1830…
The main exposition of the museum is in the manor house. It's special memorial value is that “the miracle of Boldino autumn” happened there.
All famous Pushkin’s tales, except “The Tale of Tsar Saltan”, were written in Boldino. It is no mere chance that the house of former priest Fialkovsky has been turned into the Museum of Pushkin’s Tales. The village of Lvovka is also a part of the excursion route.
In September 2005, the Museum of Characters of Belkin’s Tales was opened in the former manor house of Lvovka mansion to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the first Boldino autumn.
In June 2009, a new exposition was opened. It is placed in the restored building of parish school built by A.A. Pushkin, the son of the poet.
The state literary-memorial and natural Museum-reserve of A. S. Pushkin "Boldino" was opened in 1949 and includes a memorial estate in the village of Bolshoe Boldino and Pushkin's places in its vicinity — the protected grove Luchinnik and the estate of the son of the poet A. A. Pushkin in the village of Lvovka.
Boldino-the family estate of the Pushkins, which belonged to them from the end of the XVI century. A. S. Pushkin came to Boldino in 1830, 1833 and 1834. Here he experienced the highest creative rise — the unique Boldin autumn-a phenomenal phenomenon in Russian and world literature.
Boldin has preserved an authentic manor house and a manor Park of the XIX century. The house-Museum houses the literary and memorial exhibition "Pushkin in Boldin". The interior of the rooms occupied by the poet was recreated, as well as the literary and thematic section of the exhibition was decorated. The memorial and household Museum is the patrimonial office, where Pushkin stayed on his last visit to Boldino.
In the 1980s and 1990s, the manor complex was recreated: the manor kitchen, bathhouse, stable with a carriage house and barn, and the people's room. In 1997, the Museum of Pushkin's fairy tales was opened in the houses of the Church clergy near the estate.
